Nano Dimensions....? We gonna loose a few things...!

Whenever I write something, anywhere; it has been always difficult for me to think, 'How to start with?'. I, probably get confused of "hey's" and "Well's". But, I think, I have already begun properly with, so let me go on with my silly topic.

This, is the year 2014... Namely Two Thousand and Fourteen, and the first computer was made, in 1940; the word is used, amazingly since the 17th century. But officially the modern machine was built in 1940's and its more than 70 years, of development that gives us the smallest computers, our smartphones. Well that Huge Machine made in 1941 with 300 vacuum tubes and a rolling drum as memory, was really huge! It was large as a room but it's functioning was limited to certain Boolean algebras. It was "Hot" too! I mean not that beach thing but, actually, it generated a lot of heat. The replacement came in 1955 by transistors. It was faster, smaller, cooler (actually cool) and much more functional. However, now, I am sitting in front a fast Dual-Core P.C. which is slower than many of today's Quad-Core smartphones, in just 70 years; we made an inversion order...The size decreased while functions increased. An this trend will go on till we reach the nano dimension.! Even further if possible..!

Talk about nano, it's really great, it's even the name of the world's cheapest car (not any more), but more over, it's also the name of our future computers; the nano computers, when chip-sets can be made small enough that super computers will be in our hands. We can have a lot of memory space. Artificial Intelligence would be possible. Nano means consumption of less energy as only a small current can oscillate nano particles.

Today, our computers use, not only energy but also, precious metals, Gold, silver, copper; they conduct electricity quite easily, making our computers fast. They are costly too. "Nano", may be costly to be formed initially but latter, we expect them to be a lot economical computers. Computers, would become available to a larger section of the human society. Basically, I mean the parts of Africa, India and Latin America.. The poor but potential parts of the world.

Well there is one thing we may loose in next 50 to 60 years. While buying this P.C., few years ago, I was able to change my processor, get an efficient Keyboard, increase my R.A.M., get new D.V.D. player and writer, a 500 G.B. hard disc additional to the factory fit 360 G.B. and if I wish, I can increase all these to a lot more. Like I can get a new NVIDIA graphic driver, 4 T.B. of hd, blu-ray, 8 G.B. of R.A.M. and a good H.D. display. This is called "Assembling".

But when I bought my smartphone, in the initial stages of their evolution, I could only get a great no of apps from the play store. I cannot change the internal memory so easily, nor could I get some faster processor, and a lot of limitations. However, It always keeps up wit my pace and helps me on the go.

Nano computers will be very, very, very, very........ Small. Assembling; on a nano computer would be similarly Very Difficult. If any thing goes wrong in your super cool device, you would no longer be able to give it to someone who can open it naked eyes and do some operation and give it to you back, a better device. The would be fast, efficient, handy and intelligent but they would probably need great replacement for small purposes. And think of the cost it would be...! It would be like, to get a better memory, which cost merely $10, you spend $200 to get an all new phone.

And again, we are in 2014. We can only assume the future. May be, by 2040 or 2060, sophisticated technologies would be available to repair our nano computers. We have already begun with the era of "Nano-nisation", and as humans, it has been our tendency to get solutions to the problems we face, not just sit aside and regret.

And of course,
Thanks for reading it.
Good Day..!

The Mightiest Computers on Earth

Over the decades, we have evolved, not just as human beings, but also in terms of technology. A simple smart-phone today can do more that what the best personal computer could have done ten or fifteen years ago. And when this thought comes into our minds, we can't help but think "If such a small system can do so much, what are we actually capable of doing with supercomputers?" So let's look into some of the fastest computers on this planet today, May 2017. The Computers are ranked based on their Floating point Operations Per Second (FLOPS), or in layman terms, calculations per second. However, at this point a supercomputer is capable of certain Quadrillion calculations per second, thus we use Peta FLOPS. The speed pf these systems were calculated using the LINPACK benchmarks . 10. Trinity, Los Alamos National Laboratory The Trinity project is managed and operated by Los Alamos National Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories under the Alliance for Com...

15,000 nuclear warheads detonated at once?

What would possibly happen if we detonated every single nuclear warhead on earth at the same time, at one place? There are more than 15,000 nuclear weapons currently on Earth. It is believed that the US and Russian arsenals are individually capable to a complete wipe-out of life from Earth. While the United States of America has about 6,900 nukes, Russia has above 7,000. The average yield of the Russian nukes is about 700-800 kiloton TNT equivalent, each. The question here is, what "can" happen if every single warhead on earth is stockpiled at one place and and detonated at the exact same time?

Switching to Linux : Shortcomings of Windows OS

Hello there! Many of us have been using the Windows OS (considering it's many versions), for a very long time. For some regions on the planet (especially where this post was written), Windows is the stereotypical OS for a computer. However, today we're going to see something which has been known to be the OS of servers and supercomputers, and can also be used in a PC like yours, Linux! To be honest, I've been using windows for a very long time myself, and it is no doubt, a great OS. But there are many places where Windows sucks (bad)! On this post, I shall describe why I chose Linux over Windows, and how you, a Windows user, can move to Linux easily! First, let's discuss the 7 reasons why I gave up Windows:- 1. Paying for almost everything... Even the office suite! Windows is a proprietary software and is not freely available. You must have a product key (purchased) to run windows on any computer. Linux distros, on the other hand, are free to downlo...
