How do we affect the Earth's magnetic field...?

#006 We all like good directions in life. It hurts when we come to know that someone has shown us a wrong direction. That can really make us angry. But wait! What if I tell you that we ourselves are tending to show the wrong direction to us!? Well, we tend to but, we cannot do anything for such a matter. Doesn't matter what we can do of it. The biggest question is, how do we do such an act? Well, you think of it by the time I explain Earth's magnetic field. Earth's Magnetic field The core of Earth is formed of molten Iron, Nickel and traces of Cobalt and other few metals. In molten state, the metals get ionized or the outermost electrons get excited out of bounds of the metal atoms. Now, imagine these electrons and ions as free charges. Due to the rotation of Earth about it's axis causes even these charges to revolve around their axis. And as per Ampere's and Oesterd's laws, moving charges cause magnetic field in the direction of their axis. They work on th...

What is the "Clock Speed" of our BRAIN?

#005 We regularly Dream! Basically every-time we sleep. They are like, pretty nice or sometimes horror- filled long movies, isn't it? You Are Absolutely WRONG. Long is the wrong word to say. Dreams last for a few seconds or sometimes minutes, thats it. They are not too long to be movies. They seem to be long. That particular moment, our brain is like, too relaxed to go through short details. But wait, what actually are movies? We all know that the movies that we watch are set of 24 pictures, well framed, passing by every second. Our brain gets tricked by such illusions and believe it as motion. Persistence of vision is the factor playing it's game here. Our brain can distinguish 16 frames per second. But that's too much. Every image taken by our eyes in 1/16th of a second is equivalent to 7 mega-pixels, costing about 7 to 8 megabytes of data. So, mathematically! 7.5x16=120 megabytes per second. Our visual lube works faster  than that. It has to manipulate the data to get...

The Greatest War.

#004 War! Sounds critical... An image of sacrifices and sorrow comes to the mind immediately. Humans have fought many wars in history and are even fighting now. World Wars, the deadliest ever, Civil War of America, Vietnam War, Indo-Pak Wars, The Iraq war and countless more. But, in future, which would be the greatest war, humans will fight? Water? Petroleum? Territorial? Or Something bigger? But wait.... Why would someone write on war on a scientific and technical blog...? This is probably a question which gives the answer after the reading. War is drastic and the upcoming wars will be too. It is not necessary that wars are faught among the humans. In some cases, we all might need to unite, and fight against one cause. Such times will surely come in future. Basically due to consequences of our own curiosity. The Search For Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence or SETI aims at finding of life in depths of the universe. Radio Signals that move in the vastness of space, carrying our messag...

Danger Danger Everywhere...!

Are you afraid of something? What A Silly Question was that....  Any one so brave to say, he's probably the greatest liar born om earth. Well, I am particularly afraid of death. Most particularly death out of radiation, deadly painful and cancerous! But, is radiation of nuclear power plant so deadly? You would be in great surprise to know that you've been living near a nuclear power plant, even if you are miles away from it! Much more surprised when I say that right now, thousands of electromagnetic waves are propagating through us, without even letting us feel it.! Okay! Good lot of facts. While watching this article, your cell phone or modem is using tremendous amount of radiation, especially radio waves.  Even if they are quite innocent to be seen but prolonged exposure can harm you. There is a case of a boy who got cancer, just because he kept his wi-fi router under his pillow and slept. Unfortunately, he lost his personhood. But most of us don't do so. And that do...

Where does it end?

Human imaginations have created a lot of things. It is really great. Most of the beautiful made made marvels are outcome of our imagination. I hope, I satisfy all my reader's thoughts. And therefore, I would request you to imagine something I say. Just imagine that you are on a space ship with infinite fuel and you have special blessings of God for dying only when you want and not get old and you start your journey to the edge of the universe... What would you find there??? Quite hypothetical! And supernatural too. But we encounter various things in this long journey, to the outer space. Our solar system itself is interesting... Electrical too. Starting from Sun, as all of us know, there are 8 planets, in one of the Trans Neptuninan Object is our dear departed Pluto and it's hundred other small friends. The come the Kuiper Belt, interestingly home to most of our comets and finally, the Scattered Disc with icy small planets... Solar system ends with the Helio-Pa...

Nano Dimensions....? We gonna loose a few things...!

Whenever I write something, anywhere; it has been always difficult for me to think, 'How to start with?'. I, probably get confused of "hey's" and "Well's". But, I think, I have already begun properly with, so let me go on with my silly topic. This, is the year 2014... Namely Two Thousand and Fourteen, and the first computer was made, in 1940; the word is used, amazingly since the 17th century. But officially the modern machine was built in 1940's and its more than 70 years, of development that gives us the smallest computers, our smartphones. Well that Huge Machine made in 1941 with 300 vacuum tubes and a rolling drum as memory, was really huge! It was large as a room but it's functioning was limited to certain Boolean algebras. It was "Hot" too! I mean not that beach thing but, actually, it generated a lot of heat. The replacement came in 1955 by transistors. It was faster, smaller, cooler (actually cool) and much more functi...
